Also known as Flax Lily, this is an evergreen perennial with grass-like foliage that is streaked green and white. Tall spires of lavender-blue flowers are followed by blue berries. Drought tolerant, and prefers partial shade, but can handle a few daily hours of full sun, especially in the coastal areas. Performs best in rich, loamy soil and thrives in Zones 8-10. Good for borders, beautiful planted en masse and does great in containers, too.
