The plants in this category will attract a wide variety of Birds, Bees and Butterflies. Not all will attract everyone of them but they usually follow suit. Hummingbirds tend to be attracted to brightly-colored flowers that are tubular. These hold the most nectar. But I have seen them hang around any brightly colored flowers. Most people think that red is the only color they like, but that is not been our experience. The butterflies will hang around the ones that they like the best, either for food for their offspring or for nectar. Bees are drawn to plants with open or flat tubular flowers with lots of pollen and nectar. A flower's scent can have particular appeal to bees, and its bright colors may lure the bees in.
